S. Geraint Jones

 

S. Geraint Jones, LL.B (Hons)

After commencing his legal career in the West Midlands, Geraint came to the Practice in 1989. Geraint specialises in freehold, leasehold and land property matters including residential sales, purchases, transfers of equity, shared ownership schemes and Help to Buy. He also deals with Inheritance Tax, Wills, Probate and administration of estates and Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters. He has fulfilled rolls as Clerk to the Commissioners for Taxes and visiting lecturer at the University of Law at Christleton, Chester.

Geraint is a sports fanatic following Cricket, Rugby Union and his beloved Liverpool FC whilst also finding time for the odd game of Golf!

Maureen Morgan

 

Maureen Morgan, LL.B (Hons)

Maureen was admitted to the roll of Solicitors in 1988 and has worked in private practice since the date of her admission. Maureen practiced in Colwyn Bay for 20 years and joined Griffiths and Hughes Parry in 2006.

Maureen specialises in all land and property matters (including residential sales purchases transfers of equity remortgages shared ownership schemes and help to buy), together with Wills Probate and Administration of Estates and Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection.

Maureen is married and has 3 children. Family life keeps her busy outside office hours but she is a keen walker and enjoys all crafts and cooking.

Mairtin Breathnach

Mairtin Breathnach LL.B (Hons)

Mairtin advises small to medium sized commercial clients on a wide range of commercial and corporate matters.

His expertise includes advising clients on all aspects of commercial contracts ranging from general Terms and Conditions of trade to bespoke commercial agreements. He also assists clients with general corporate matters such as shareholder agreements, company governance as well as asset and share acquisitions and disposals.

He also acts on behalf of Landlords and Tenants in the negotiation of commercial eases and general commercial property contracts which includes options, claw back agreements and secured lending.

Mairtin qualified as a solicitor in 2007 with a Welsh practice having obtained his legal degree and LPC from University College Galway and The College of Law in London respectively.

Alex Bailey

Alex deals with a wide range of legal issues, mainly family law matters, civil litigation and employment law.

In respect of family law, he has extensive experience in all areas. This includes divorce and separation matters, financial issues arising from a divorce or separation and issues relating to children. He also deals with pre-nuptial agreements, cohabitation agreements and the like.

Civil litigation is wide ranging, covering any dispute or potential dispute. Alex acts for individuals and businesses. Some common litigation areas are building disputes, probate disputes, landlord and tenant issues and contract disputes.

Alex also advises employers and employees in relation to employment procedures, rights, obligations and so on. He regularly drafts documents such as contracts, employee handbooks and settlement agreements. In addition Alex has represented both employees and employers in contested Employment Tribunal proceedings.

Suzanne James

Suzanne joined Griffiths & Hughes Parry in August 2017 as Legal Secretary to Mr Alex Bailey.

Suzanne’s career history has involved working for four different firms of Solicitors in their various departments to include family, matrimonial, employment, PI and criminal work.  She has also worked for a well known building society.

Suzanne loves elephants and if she could, would have one as a pet!

Pat joined Griffiths & Hughes Parry in 2001 having previously worked for Clement Jones & Co., Holywell since 1977.

Pat has had many years of experience in the legal profession and is Secretary to Mr Geraint Jones who specialises in conveyancing, Wills & Probate, Landlord & Tenant and employment.

Julie joined Griffiths & Hughes Parry at the end of 2015 as the Legal Cashier/Accounts Manager.

Julie has over 20 year experience of working as a Legal Cashier.

Julie's main responsibility is to maintain the smooth running of our accounts making sure our Clients have a first rate service.

Diane Chitty

Diane joined Griffiths & Hughes Parry in March 2017 to work as legal secretary for Maureen Morgan in our Conveyancing and Wills/Probate department and is enjoying her new role very much.  She joined us from another local firm where she worked for 14 years.

Out  of work Diane is a member of Flint Ladies Choir who perform locally as well as nationally.

Hannah joined Griffiths & Hughes Parry in November 2016 and her main responsibilities were full time receptionist.  She is now learning a new role as a trainee Secretary to Mr Mairtin Breathnach in the Conveyancing department.

Out of work Hannah is a member of Cambria Band and takes part in local and national parades and events.

Cheryl joined the Private Client Team in July 2019 having previously worked for a local firm of Solicitors for over 16 years.

Cheryl studied at West Cheshire College, Handbridge and is an Associate of the Institute of Legal Executives.

She specialises in Probate, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. She is focused on providing an efficient and personal sefvice to Clients who need help in circumstances which can often be difficult and sometimes upsetting for a family

In her free time, she enjoys travelling, walking and spending time with her family.
