Mairtin Breathnach LL.B (Hons)
Solicitor
Mairtin advises small to medium sized commercial clients on a wide range of commercial and corporate matters.
His expertise includes advising clients on all aspects of commercial contracts ranging from general Terms and Conditions of trade to bespoke commercial agreements.
He also assists clients with general corporate matters such as shareholder agreements, company governance, asset and share acquisitions and disposals.
Mairtin qualified as a solicitor in 2007 with a Welsh practice having obtained his legal degree and LPC from University College Galway and The College of Law in London respectively.
Louise Davies-Jones BA (HONS) LLM
Solicitor
Louise graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a degree in English Literature in 2013.
She began her legal career at another local law firm before relocating to London where she worked as a Commercial Property PA in both West End and City Law Firms.
Louise qualified as a Solicitor in June 2022 and joined the Property Department at Griffiths & Hughes Parry in January 2023.
Her expertise includes Residential Conveyancing, remortgages, new builds and Help to Buy transactions.
S. Geraint Jones LL.B (Hons)
Consultant Solicitor
After commencing his legal career in the West Midlands, Geraint joined the Practice in 1989.
He specialises in residential property matters, Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters.
Geraint has also fulfilled roles as Clerk to the Commissioners for Taxes and visiting lecturer at the University of Law in Chester.
Outside of work, he enjoys Cricket, Rugby Union, Liverpool FC and Golf.
Duncan McAllister LL.B. (Hons)
Consultant Solicitor
Duncan qualified as a solicitor in 1995 and has worked in dispute resolution since qualification. He is a trained mediator; he has acted as a mediator on a number of dispute and has taken many clients through the mediation process.
He has wide ranging experience in commercial disputes from debt recovery to complex contractual disputes. He also deals with disputes involving shareholders and directors, as well as contractual employment matters.
In addition to commercial disputes, he has substantial expertise in contentious trust and probate work, receiving referrals from other solicitors, barristers and accountants.
Duncan also deals with land and property disputes.
Julie Bennion
Legal Cashier / Accounts Manager
Julie joined Griffiths & Hughes Parry at the end of 2015 as the Legal Cashier and Accounts Manager.
She has over 20 years experience working as a Legal Cashier.
Julie's main responsibility is ensuring the smooth running of the firm's accounts while delivering excellent client service.
Diane Chitty
Secretary
Diane joined Griffiths & Hughes Parry in March 2017 to work as legal secretary for Maureen Morgan in our Conveyancing and Wills/Probate department.
Following Mrs Morgan’s retirement, Diane is now secretary to Louise Davies-Jones in the Conveyancing department.
Out of work Diane is a member of Flint Ladies Choir who perform locally as well as nationally.
Hannah Ellis ACILEx
Paralegal
Hannah joined Griffiths & Hughes Parry in November 2016, starting out as a receptionist before progressing to the position of a Legal Secretary in 2017.
Hannah studied with the CILEX Law School, qualifying as a Paralegal in 2026 and is an Associate of the Institute of Legal Executives.
Her main responsibilities are full time Paralegal to Mr Mairtin Breathnach in the Conveyancing department.
Outside of work Hannah enjoys climbing and spending time in the great outdoors.
Rebecca Williams
Secretary
Rebecca joined Griffiths & Hughes Parry Solicitors in March 2004 initially as a receptionist before progressing to Legal Secretary.
She has gained valuable experience across all areas of the firm, particularly Family Law and Residential Conveyancing.
Outside of work Rebecca enjoys countryside walks with her dog and spending time with her family.
Cheryl England ACILEx
Paralegal
Cheryl joined the Private Client Team in July 2019 having previously worked for a local firm of Solicitors for over 16 years.
Cheryl studied at West Cheshire College, Handbridge and is an Associate of the Institute of Legal Executives.
She specialises in Probate, Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. She is focused on providing an efficient and personal service to Clients who need help in circumstances which can often be difficult and sometimes upsetting for a family.
In her free time, she enjoys travelling, going to the gym and spending time with her family.
Hope Humphreys
Receptionist
Hope joined Griffiths and Hughes Parry in February 2024.
Hope is responsible for managing front desk operations, serving as the first point of contact for clients at Griffiths and Hughes Parry; handling enquiries and providing administrative support to staff and management.
Out of work Hope enjoys exploring the local book shops and long nature walks.
Hope has a BA Hons Degree in English & Creative Writing and a Master’s with First Class Honors in TESOL from Liverpool University.
